This programme enables learners to acquire a substantial literary and linguistic foundation. Through various courses designed to advance literary, critical, and academic skills, the learner is exposed to significant literary texts, literary period, and theoretical approaches. The programme is structured well enough to advance the skills of learners to appreciate and critically evaluate literary and cultural texts. As the learners successfully complete the course, it will enable them to acquire English language skills essential for employability and professional mobility.

MA English Language and Literature is a 2-year postgraduate course in the stream of arts and humanities that enables  learners to acquaint themselves with different genres like drama, novels, poetry, prose, etc in English.  Some of the prominent attributes are listed below.

  1. A Deep appreciation of Literature: The learners would have wide exposure and deep knowledge of English Literature and critical tools, enabling them to enjoy a full range of aesthetic experiences with enriched textual interpretation.
