The MA Political Science program is designed to provide students with a detailed understanding of political systems, policy analysis, and the theoretical frameworks essential for analyzing and addressing political issues. The course offers substantial practical advantages beyond academic knowledge, focusing on critical skills such as policy evaluation, political strategy, international relations, and research methods. This prepares learners for influential government, non-profits, academia, and international organizations positions.  The program is structured on a semester basis, spanning 4 semesters over 2 years. Learners are required to complete all necessary courses, making a total of 72 credits. Learners are given with the option to earn 8 extra credits by successfully completing 2 courses in the Cross Border Discipline, apart from  the standard program requirements. Throughout the four semesters, learners must complete 12 Discipline Core (DC) courses within the two-year period. They are required to complete three Discipline Specific Elective (DE) courses, and two Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AE), which are both Discipline Specific (DS) and Institution Specific (IS). Additionally, there are two Skill Enhancement Compulsory Courses (SE) and a Dissertation/Project Work (DP) course. If they choose, learners may pursue two courses in any two disciplines as Cross Border Discipline Courses (CB), in addition to the mandated credits.
Learners of the Postgraduate Programme in Political Science will possess specialized knowledge and analytical skills to critically assess political phenomena. They will be adept at conducting advanced research, formulating and evaluating policies, and applying theoretical frameworks to complex political issues. Learners will demonstrate expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and be able to communicate their findings effectively. They will be prepared for leadership roles in academia, governmental and non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and international agencies, contributing to scholarly discourse and effective policy-making.
