The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Arabic Language and Literature is designed to provide a foundational understanding of the Arabic language, its literature, and the cultural contexts in which it is used. This undergraduate program is ideal for students interested in pursuing careers in teaching, translation, journalism, or further studies in Arabic. The program offers a broad curriculum that covers classical and modern Arabic literature, linguistics, and the cultural and historical background of the Arab world. It is an enriching program that equips learners with essential language skills and a deep appreciation for Arabic literature and culture. Graduates are well-prepared for a variety of professional paths and further academic pursuits, contributing to their understanding and engagement with the Arabic-speaking world.
Programme Outcome: Upon successful completion of the programme, aspirants will earn linguistic proficiency, critical and aesthetic appreciation ability as well as multicultural competence. BA Arabic graduates can avail employability in various fields of education, research, translations, tourism, journalism, I.T., media, hospitality and many more. At the end of the programme the student is expected to: 
1 - Develop the language skills in Arabic- reading, writing, speaking and listening. 
2 -  Acquire necessary skills to communicate in Arabic 
3 - Possess knowledge of commercial, communicative and business Arabic. 
4 - Gain basic competence in both Arabic language and literature.
5 - Develop essential skills in translation. 
6 - Understand the principal literary topologies in Arabic prose and poetry 
7- Understand various topics of literary, historical, political and cultural perspectives of Arabic language and literature. 
8 - Acquire adequate knowledge about classical and modern genres of Arabic language and literature. 
9 - Be equipped for global career opportunities.
